This is a wonderful video for both beginners and advanced players. It
features one of the leading whistle players of today - Vinnie Kilduff. The video is 50
minutes in length and starts with Vinnie's opinions on different makes and keys of
whistles that are available today (very informative!). He then teaches some of the basics,
such as note reading, rolls, cuts, vibrato, etc., and many advanced techniques also.
The video also comes with a song sheet that includes the tunes that he plays on the tape.
One of the best features of this video is that he plays every tune slowly by himself, and
then plays it as it should be - with full ornamentation and other with other musicians,
including Steve Cooney on the guitar and Gerry O'Connor on the banjo. This is a great
video for anyone, even if you have no intention of ever playing a whistle.
The video comes in a protective plastic case and is in VHS/NTSC format.
