This is a Chieftain Low G whistle. It has a full,
rich tone throughout its two octave range, It's approx. 17½" long and made of
aluminum alloy - it is quite solid, built to last a lifetime. The windway is narrower than
most other Low Whistles, making it require less air to play. Unlike many Low whistles,
this one plays quite well in its entire two octave range. It is made by Chieftain, one of
the most well known makers of high-end whistles today.
Nontunable shown above
If you're new to Low Whistles, the Low G is a
great in-between whistle to play before attempting a Low D. The finger spacing is wide
enough that many people find it easier to use The Piper's Grip when
playing.
